How will you contribute to our magical experience?

Disney Consumer Products, Games and Publishing (CPGP) is the business segment of The Walt Disney Company that extends the Disney brand to merchandise ranging from apparel, toys, home décor and books to interactive games, food and beverages, stationery, electronics, and animation art.

As a category coordinator on the Licensing team, reporting to the Category Manager, you will coordinate a group of product/sub-categories and/or licensees with the goal of meeting predetermined revenue targets and growth goals, will assist category manager and overseeing all administrative coordinator responsibilities, (financial, legal and audit processes, give support during contract renewal and new negotiations, responsible for all the royalty report process, forecast and budget).

Great interface with the main areas of the company: Commercial, product Development, finance, marketing, retail, creative, Ad sales and legal.

The Analyst, Licensing will be responsible for:

  • Work closely and under category Management guidance to develop, oversee and implement category’s strategy aligned with Disney Consumer Products plans.
  • Project, develop, and present product sub-categories plans and map new business opportunities, support with dedicated business presentation for his product category and oversee specific subcategories and clients.
  • Analyze accounts (licensee, sub-categories, property franchise and retailer) performance to identify new business and revenue growth opportunities with existing licensees, to amplify the category penetration in local market, focusing on consumers’ needs/ behavior and trends. Research and understand competitive landscape. Maintain general knowledge of the retail landscape and monitor retail licenses sales performance, subcategories, and programs.
  • Support licensee management (contract negotiation, financial projections, data management, product assortment and promotion / advertising) and daily relationship with licensees.
  • Assist licensees with securing of assets to support product development and ensure licensee requests are researched and responded to.
  • Partner with Product Development team to improve and bring to market compelling new product for categories managed. Ensure approvals of products which may include lead meetings; coordinate programs across multiple categories/consumer segments; review line lists; maintain milestone calendars.
  • Partner and brief trade and marketing team for retail planning / sales pitches where relevant to maximize commercial and brand opportunities.
  • Have fiscal responsibility for assigned sub-categories to include annual budget planning and quarterly revenue forecasting.
  • Ensure all administrative internal process (contracts, ILS, royalties reports…) are in order, on time and organized. Support apparel team in everyday responsibilities such as sample organization and needs, social media requests, buy calendars and other projects.
  • Support Manager and Supervisors in everyday responsibilities such as contract and amendment process, financial analysis, preparing presentations and other projects.

What we need from you to be part of this story:

  • At least 2 years of experience in marketing or sales in consumables industries.
  • Preferred Industries: aligned with the specific category the person will manage (Apparel, Toys, Food, beauty, etc).
  • Intermediate level of English.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Marketing.
  •  Strong communication, negotiation, and commercial skills, with a structured approach and experience in performance analysis.  A collaborative team player with proven capability to influence diverse stakeholders, including experience working with external partners and business owners to successfully bring products and assortments to market.
