Position Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and creative Art Assistant to join Industrial Light & Magic’s world leading cinematic Art Department.

In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the Art Department, contributing to the smooth and efficient production of high-quality creative work. Whilst learning from leaders in the field, you’ll provide administrative and entry-level design support for the Art Department at our London studio.

What You’ll Do

Provide comprehensive administrative and creative support to the Art Dept. personnel and clients
Assist in all phases of production from bidding to archiving
Conduct library/video research for reference materials
Create compelling presentation packages for meetings
Assist Artists with assets (2D & 3D)
Maintain department databases, ensuring accurate and accessible records
Provide production design support for crew gear, crew photos and various company design needs

What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a passionate and talented individual with a strong work ethic and a dedication to excellence, with:

Background in art, design or film highly preferred
Strong traditional drawing skills
Thorough knowledge of design-specific programs, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
Experience with 3D design software (e.g., Maya, Blender, Zbrush)
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and precision
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Knowledge of concept art as well as fundamental design principles
Proven experience in a fast-paced creative environment

This role is Hybrid, which means the employee will be required to work a minimum of 2 days on-site per week at a Company designated location, and occasionally from home.
