Hiring with Human Centric, Responsible Use of AI

Technology creates new opportunities, but people remain at the heart of every hiring story. As AI becomes more common, it can thoughtfully support your job search when used responsibly. At Disney, we have a long history of bringing imagination and technology together to fuel creativity. We are committed to a human‑centric approach to AI—one that values human creativity and ingenuity, respects intellectual property, and promotes responsible use.

How You Can Use AI to Support Your Story

AI has become a natural part of how people explore new roles, and we want to help you use it in a way that supports you while keeping your story authentically yours. You’re welcome to use AI as you prepare to apply or interview, such as:

When AI Tools Should Not Be Used

While AI can be a helpful tool as you prepare, there are moments in our hiring process where your own thinking, voice, and skills need to shine through. During assessments and interviews, we want to understand you — your ideas, your approach, and your strengths, and therefore AI tools should not be used for the following:

  • Using AI note taking assistants, recording or transcribing any conversations during the recruitment experience
  • Creating false or misleading experiences, skills, or qualifications on your résumé, cover letter, or application
  • Completing assessments (such as coding exercises, job assessments, writing samples, or language tasks) unless instructed otherwise. If AI use is allowed during the assessment, we will clearly communicate that expectation
  • Generating interview answers in real time or using tools that respond on your behalf
  • Using deepfake, appearance‑altering filters, or voice-cloning tools during interviews

To the extent we find that you used AI for any of the purposes referenced above, it may impact your candidacy and advancement in the recruitment process.

How Disney Integrates AI Into the Hiring Process

At Disney, human insight is at the heart of every hiring decision. Along the way, we thoughtfully use technology to support and enhance our process—so our people can focus on what matters most: meaningful connection and getting to know you.

  • Content Creation

AI may help draft job descriptions and tailor

    role‑specific messaging, ensuring clarity and

alignment for both jobs and candidates.

  • Candidate Discovery

AI may support recruiters by searching

candidate pools and summarizing skills and

experience against job qualifications to help

    identify potential candidates

  • Notes Assistant

With candidate consent, Recruiters may use

AI to support their note‑taking, helping them stay fully focused on the conversation.

  • Streamline Outreach

AI may assist our recruitment teams with

    candidate outreach and interview scheduling,

helping move the process forward more

    efficiently.

Our Commitment to a Responsible and Human-Centric approach to using AI

AI can assist along the way, but people—not algorithms—make every advancement and hiring decision. Our tools are thoughtfully designed and monitored to help prevent bias and support fairness, consistency, and compliance wherever we hire. As AI technologies and the laws and regulations governing them around the world continue to develop, so too will our approach to their responsible use.
