Disney 12-month Internship Programme - United Kingdom

During our 12-month internship programme, you will have a fantastic opportunity to supplement your university degree with a work placement in one of our world-class business functions. Whether you cultivate relationships with clients in sales, lend your analytical expertise to finance, or harness your creative talents in products and licensing, you'll help us create stories that are truly remarkable.

As part of your 12-month internship, you will get access to the Disney Intern Development Programme - a curated learning pathway for interns incorporating on-demand, instructor-led, and project-based learning elements designed to support you and your development as a Disney Intern.

Our invaluable 12-month internship scheme will put your education to work and give you the cutting-edge skills and experience to build your future career. We’ll train you and give you every opportunity – the rest is up to you. This is Disney, where dreams and career aspirations can come true!

Programme Highlights

  • 12-month internship programme beginning Summer 2027
  • Applications open 13th October 2026 and will remain open for one or two weeks depending on the programme you are applying for

United Kingdom Programme Requirements

To be eligible for the internship programme, you must meet the below criteria:

  • Undergraduate at a UK or Ireland University returning to full-time education in Autumn 2028
  • Available to start working full-time in June 2027
  • The right to work in the UK
  • Interested in the area you're applying to whether this is through your studies, experiences or extra-curricular activities
  • Candidates must be able to work in our Hammersmith, London office, on-site four days per week

Annual Salary: £28,000

25 days holiday (plus bank holidays)

Applications for Commercial & ESPN will be open for one week, and Creative applications will be open for two weeks.


14 Days After Applying
You will receive a blended
online assessment to
complete, designed to understand your skills in relation to the internship

Between November and January
Managers will get in contact to discuss your application in further detail and outline the next stages of the process which is usually:
1st Stage Motivational Interview
Final stage Competency Based Interview or Assessment Day

What is the working pattern at The Walt Disney Company?

We operate a four-day onsite model. If you require flexible working arrangements this can be discussed at point of offer.
Interns are paid £28,000 per annum.

What should I include in my application?



While internships do not guarantee permanent employment following the internship, the programme is designed to help you build professional experience, expand your network and develop skills that will support your future career. Many former interns have gone on to build careers at Disney or across media, entertainment or other professional industries.
You’ll need to submit a CV and a cover letter of approximately 400 words. Use your cover letter to tell us why Disney, why this internship and why you’re a great fit. Share what inspires you about The Walt Disney Company, how the opportunity connects to your interests or goals, and the skills, experiences or perspectives you’d bring.

What do we look for?

We’re interested in your potential, not just professional experience. Examples can come from university, work, volunteering, societies, extracurriculars or personal projects.
