Job Summary:

The Sr Manager Marketing Intelligence Analyst is a senior strategic analytics leader within the Unified Marketing Organization (UMO) supporting Disney Entertainment (DE). This role owns the measurement and insights agenda for marketing efforts spanning Linear TV, On-Air Promotions, Synergy, and Streaming, delivering clear, objective, and actionable analysis that evaluates the effectiveness of tune-in, engagement, and acquisition campaigns across Disney's television networks and streaming platforms (Disney+, Hulu). This position leads marketing performance measurement and effectiveness analytics, translating linear ratings, streaming engagement, on-air promotion, and cross-company synergy data into implications and recommendations that shape marketing strategy, media investment, and promotional planning. The Principal partners closely with Marketing Strategy, Media, Scheduling, Programming, Creative, and Synergy teams, and mentors junior analysts, to ensure insights are embedded into ongoing planning and executive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Linear, Streaming & On-Air Promotion Analytics

  • Lead analysis and evaluation of Disney Entertainment marketing and on-air promotion campaigns across linear networks (e.g., ABC, Freeform, FX, Disney Channel) and streaming platforms (Disney+, Hulu), assessing tune-in, viewership, and engagement performance against business objectives.
  • Translate linear ratings (Nielsen), streaming engagement, and promo airtime/weight data into clear insights on what drove tune-in and viewership, grounded in business outcomes, with actionable recommendations.
  • Evaluate on-air promotion effectiveness — including promo scheduling, weight, creative rotation, and placement — to optimize tune-in and streaming sign-up/engagement outcomes.
  • Partner with Synergy and cross-company marketing teams to measure the impact of cross-portfolio promotional campaigns (e.g., Disney+, Disney Experiences, Studios, Consumer Products) supporting Disney Entertainment titles and platforms.
  • Synthesize results across multiple data sources — including Nielsen and other audience measurement services, streaming platform analytics, media reporting, and business KPIs — to deliver integrated performance narratives spanning linear and streaming.
  • Identify drivers of marketing and promotional effectiveness and surface opportunities for optimization across creative, targeting, timing, platform, and channel mix.

Insights, Reporting & Enablement

  • Ensure analysis connects marketing and promotional activity to business and brand outcomes (tune-in, streaming engagement, subscriber impact) in a way that is intuitive, decision-oriented, and actionable.
  • Develop and deliver concise insights readouts and presentations that clearly frame implications and recommendations for senior Marketing, Programming, and Media stakeholders.
  • Establish and champion measurement frameworks and best practices for evaluating marketing effectiveness across linear, streaming, on-air promotion, and synergy initiatives.

Leadership & Stakeholder Partnership

  • Serve as the senior analytics partner to Marketing Strategy, Media, Scheduling, Programming, Creative, and Synergy teams supporting Disney Entertainment initiatives.
  • Proactively engage senior partners to shape analytic approaches, influence decision-making, and align measurement priorities with business goals.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop analysts, guiding capability building and best practices across the Marketing Analytics team.
  • Represent Marketing Analytics & Insights in cross-functional and cross-company forums, contributing to enterprise-wide measurement standards.
  • Support the Director in shaping the team's strategic priorities and reinforcing best practices for marketing effectiveness measurement and insight generation.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have 10+ years of experience in analytics, marketing analytics, media analytics, or a related field, including experience with linear TV and/or streaming measurement.
  • Must have hands-on experience analyzing and evaluating marketing, promotional, or media performance across linear and streaming campaigns and channels.
  • Must have familiarity with television and streaming audience measurement services and tools (e.g., Nielsen NPower/NNTV, comScore, Adobe Analytics, or similar).
  • Must have strong ability to translate complex, multi-platform data into clear insights, implications, and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Must have experience developing dashboards, recurring reports, and executive-ready insights.
  • Must have advanced analytical skill set.
  • Must have proficiency in software applications such as Excel (complex functions) and Tableau; SQL a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, or manage analysts, and to influence senior stakeholders across a matrixed organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience analyzing large-scale, multi-platform media organizations spanning linear television and streaming.
  • Experience with on-air promotion planning, scheduling, or tune-in driver analysis.
  • Familiarity with Synergy or cross-company/cross-portfolio marketing measurement.
  • Experience with campaign measurement frameworks, experimentation, or test-and-learn approaches.
  • Experience integrating media, content performance, and consumer insights data into a single narrative.
  • Experience with automation, advanced analytics techniques, or GenAI-enabled workflows.
  • Prior people management or team leadership experience.
