Disney+ is The Walt Disney Company's Direct to Consumer video entertainment service. The service consists of long form and short form video built around six key content brands (Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and Star) with an appealing and easy to use interface accessed across multiple platforms (e.g. televisions, mobile devices, PCs).


The Disney+ team is responsible for the country launches and day to day operation of Disney+ across Europe, Middle East and Africa, with a specific focus on customer acquisition and retention, marketing, partnerships, content programming, research and analytics.


The Senior Manager, Digital Marketing will play a key role in maximising the effectiveness of Disney+'s digital marketing across the full funnel, from awareness through to performance marketing, and in embedding a culture of testing, optimisation and best practice across media planning and creative.


Reporting to the Director, EMEA Customer Acquisition and Retention, the Senior Manager, Digital Marketing will lead regional (EMEA) efforts to bring awareness and acquisition digital marketing together into a single, integrated approach, championing iterative testing and best practice adoption.


They will do this by partnering closely with the team responsible for promoting the Disney+ brand, the teams responsible for launching new shows, and the teams responsible for performance marketing (global, regional and local), as well as our media agencies and internal media buying teams.


They will also work directly with key media owners to ensure tests deliver against our business objectives, translating results into a clear, actionable narrative for senior stakeholders.


The ideal candidate is a numerically confident digital marketer with a strong track record across awareness and performance marketing. They are a natural collaborator who thrives in ambiguous, fast-paced, cross-functional environments, and who can influence stakeholders at all levels through clear, data-led storytelling.

This role will be based in our London Hammersmith office, 4 days a week, with either a Monday or Friday working from home.


What You Will Do

Strategy & Planning

• Lead regional (EMEA) efforts to bring together awareness and acquisition digital marketing into a single, integrated approach.

• Develop and execute, in partnership with key global stakeholders, the digital marketing testing roadmap.

Testing & Optimisation

• Champion iterative testing, optimisations and best practice adoption across media planning and creative.

• Partner with internal marketing teams, internal and external agencies, and media owners to deliver effectiveness and efficiency improvements, maximising ROI.

• Work directly with key media owners to ensure tests deliver against business objectives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with the team responsible for promoting the Disney+ brand to ensure digital marketing activity is aligned with wider brand campaigns.

• Partner with the teams responsible for launching new shows to ensure digital marketing supports key content moments.

• Partner with performance marketing teams (global, regional and local), media agencies and internal media buying teams to align on planning and execution.

Reporting & Governance

• Monitor KPIs and report progress, gaps and opportunities to senior leadership, distilling data into a clear and concise narrative.


Required Qualifications & Skills

Must-Have:

• Successful track record in defining and implementing digital marketing strategies (across awareness and performance marketing) in a subscription or other fast-paced industry.

• Strong professional, senior level experience.

• Extensive experience developing and executing A/B testing roadmaps.

• Extensive experience partnering with media agencies and platform owners (e.g. Meta, Google) to plan, execute and optimise campaigns.

Nice-to-Have:

• EMEA level experience.

• Experience in the SVOD industry.

Core Competencies:

• Numerical, with an ability to distil figures into a narrative that is clear and concise.

• Excellent influencing and stakeholdering skills.

• Strong presentation and communication skills.

• Thrives in an ambiguous, fast-paced and cross-functional environment.
