Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology
Technology is at the heart of Disney’s past, present, and future. Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology is a global organization of engineers, product developers, designers, technologists, data scientists, and more – all working to build and advance the technological backbone for Disney’s media business globally.
The team marries technology with creativity to build world-class products, enhance storytelling, and drive velocity, innovation, and scalability for our businesses. We are Storytellers and Innovators. Creators and Builders. Entertainers and Engineers. We work with every part of The Walt Disney Company’s media portfolio to advance the technological foundation and consumer media touch points serving millions of people around the world.
Here are a few reasons why we think you’d love working here:
1. Building the future of Disney’s media: Our Technologists are designing and building the products and platforms that will power our media, advertising, and distribution businesses for years to come.
2. Reach, Scale & Impact: More than ever, Disney’s technology and products serve as a signature doorway for fans' connections with the company’s brands and stories. Disney+. Hulu. ESPN. ABC. ABC News…and many more. These products and brands – and the unmatched stories, storytellers, and events they carry – matter to millions of people globally.
3. Innovation: We develop and implement groundbreaking products and techniques that shape industry norms, and solve complex and distinctive technical problems.
Product & Technology Analytics is responsible for the data analysis, measurement, and insight generation that inform product strategy and decision-making across Disney Entertainment’s streaming and digital portfolio. This includes experimentation analysis, KPI development, BI development, and cross-functional partnership with product management, engineering, and programming teams to drive data-informed outcomes across Disney+ and Hulu.
Job Summary:
The Product & Technology Analytics team is seeking a Lead Data Analyst who will be a key player in driving personalization strategy on Disney+ and Hulu.

- A/B Testing & Experimentation: Lead the design, analysis, and interpretation of personalization experiments, including power analysis, metric selection, SQL/Python analysis, and stakeholder recommendations.
- Analytics Foundations: Partner with product and data engineering teams to improve data quality, build scalable datasets, and instrument new product features for reliable analysis and reporting.
- AI-Enabled Analytics: Use and help advance AI-assisted tools and workflows to improve the speed, scale, and quality of analysis.
- Ad Hoc Analysis: Investigate product issues, analyze user behavior, and rapidly answer complex business and product questions using large datasets.

- 7+ years of data analytics experience, including 3+ years in a senior or lead-level capacity.
- Advanced SQL and Python skills, including complex analysis of large datasets, notebook-based workflows, and scheduled analytical jobs.
- Advanced knowledge of experimentation and statistical analysis, including hypothesis testing, power analysis, metric selection, regression, causal inference, test design, and interpretation.
- Product analytics experience, including user behavior, funnels, engagement, and feature performance.
- Experience building analyses, dashboards, and visualizations in Looker, Tableau, or a comparable BI platform.
- Proven ability to lead end-to-end analytical projects, define requirements, manage timelines, partner with data engineering, and deliver strategic outcomes.
- Strategic communication skills, with the ability to translate complex findings into clear recommendations for technical, business, and executive audiences.
- Experience building or applying AI-assisted analytics tools and workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in streaming media or subscription-based products
- Advanced knowledge of Looker
- Proven ability to manage projects that require new datasets, collaborating with data engineering teams to improve data quality and build foundational datasets for scalable analysis
- Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or another technical field
