Custodial Utility - Part Time, Walt Disney World
Job Summary:
Do you have a passion for cleaning and curiosity about working with heavy equipment? We are currently seeking a Custodial Utility Cast Member -to work at Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts! In this role, we use specialized equipment such as pressure washers, hosing, leaf blowers, sweeper trucks, pickup trucks, box trucks, forklifts, rider vacuum cleaners, and lifts. For everyday activity this may include removing debris from waterways, cleaning fountains, scrubbing exterior walls of buildings, cleaning high reach windows, waxing, buffing, vacuuming, clean/extract carpets with portable mounts, pressure wash concrete and other surfaces, recycling, and cleaning hazardous spills. Utility Cast may also requires performing regular custodial duties such as cleaning tables, emptying trashcans, cleaning restrooms, using chemicals, sweeping and general area cleaning.
Utility Cast Members must be flexible and capable of performing a variety of tasks, both indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions.
The pay rate for this role in Florida is $19.40 per hour.

**Premium of $2.00 per hour for shifts starting at or after 10:00pm.
Working Part-Time requires full availability for any shift, any (3) days per week, including nights and holidays. Part-Time Cast Members will work between 0 hour to 24 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Capable of operating a 2500- 4000 PSI pressure washer with water temperatures up to 190°F to clean concrete and other surfaces.
- Operate vehicles and heavy-duty equipment such as Forklifts, Highreach, Genie Lift, Scissor lift, Pallet Jacks, Leaf blowers, Sweeper trucks, Water Tanker trucks, Sand Pro and Utility Trailers.
- Heavy equipment usage of Steam machine, T-300 walk behind scrubber; floor scrubber, Kaivac machine, Ecolab Caddy, T-2 (battery powered walk behind floor scrubber), trash baler, recycling bin tipper, soft plastic baler and more.
- Be able to be using a 500 -750-gallon water tanker trailer to washdown backstage pathways/ roads.
- Towing various heavy-duty equipment with vehicles navigating narrow areas.
- Ability to drive diverse types of watercrafts in certain locations like Pontoon boats to clean up lagoons.
- Filling equipment and gas cans (propane, mixed, diesel, gasoline).
- Cleaning and extracting carpets with portable or trailer mount units.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the tunnel (if applicable) by using the tunnel scrubber.
- Working on various terrains including railroad tracks, and water banks.
- Will use cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- Remove debris from all waterways, attraction flumes, and interior & exterior flumes.
- Window Washer – Window washing is a utility function defined as cleaning windows at various heights, utilizing typical professional window washing tools which may include, but not limited to squeegee, scrub wand and brush.
- Cleaning basins and decorative fountains.
- Climb up and down ladders, must be comfortable working at different heights.
- Operate and utilize various forms of communication (phone, radio, verbal, written).
Basic Qualifications:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- A valid US Driver’s License to be able to drive company vehicles and use of the heavy equipment not excluding pick-up trucks, and Pargo.
- Effective communication skills (including written and spoken English, and people skills) to positively talk with Guests, Cast Members, and leadership.
- Complete tasks with use of equipment, tools or systems related to performance of assigned responsibilities.
- Be able to comprehend chemical labels in English.
- Physical role requiring heavy lifting, walking, pushing, pulling, bending twisting, repetitive movements, and kneeling.
- Work in outdoor settings during various weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous construction worker experience.
- Previous commercial cleaning worker experience.
- Previous utilization of farm equipment experience.
- Previous experience using ride-on sweeper/scrubber equipment.

SCHEDULE AVAILABILTY Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am or 5:00am. Please note that the principles of seniority are used to schedule all roles.
