Job Overview

The Disneyland Resort RM&A/Finance organization combines strategic and analytical thinking to drive commercial, financial, and operational value for Disney Parks by shaping business decisions in Ticketing, Resorts, Merchandise, Food & Beverage, as well as all other lines of business in the core competencies of yield management, forecasting, pricing, promotions, optimization, and other predictive analytic techniques using mathematical and statistical approaches. 

Candidates will have a natural curiosity to understand the “why” behind business performance, take a proactive role in problem-solving, be results oriented, be able to prioritize, and be a team player in a collaborative environment. The candidate will have strong communication, partnering, and analytical skills, including advanced knowledge of excel, familiarity with statistical/data science modeling, Tableau, and SQL experience.

This position will report to the Manager, Revenue Management & Analytics supporting DLR Food & Beverage pricing.

What You Will Do

The Analyst, Revenue Management & Analytics will support the Disneyland Resort Pricing team by innovating Food & Beverage pricing strategies and data-driven tools to enable more informed decisions and recommendations.

  • Partner Collaboration: Develop and nurture relationships with Food & Beverage Commercial Business Transformation, Operations, Marketing, Consumer Insights & Marketing Analytics (CIMA), and Forecasting/Revenue Management to communicate performance, drive new initiatives, and identify strategic opportunities' impacts
  • Problem Seeker: Be curiosity driven; seek out business anomalies and patterns leveraging analytical tools and knowledge to shed light and gain understanding of the business to bolster strategies and initiatives
  • Business Optimization: Evaluate key business drivers to measure the success of commercial, financial, and operational decisions; and develop science-based approaches to help achieve business objectives and drive long-term strategic direction
  • Project Ownership: Own analytical projects from start to finish. Gather inputs and requirements from stakeholders, refine analytical approach, and deliver actionable recommendations
  • Data Visualization: Present complex findings in clear business terms to facilitate acceptance and execution by business partners and senior executives
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to drive efficiencies in existing processes through manipulation of large data sets, detailed product classification, and optimization of historical research tools

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, applied mathematics, economics, data analytics/science, or industrial engineering
  • Previous work experience in finance, pricing, business analysis, and/or strategy development
  • Proficiency in acquiring and manipulating large amounts of data, applying advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including VBA), and leveraging one or more scripting languages (SQL, python, etc.)
  • Skilled in storytelling through data integration and visualization– hands-on experience with one or more data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to shift between technical and non-technical terminology depending on the audience
  • Demonstrate problem-solving, creative thinking, and partnering skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines, balance multiple priorities, and perform job responsibilities accurately with minimal supervision
  • Employ a strategic approach with the ability to influence organizational decisions on broader ideas and objectives
  • Strong sense of responsibility, ownership, and pride in delivering quality results and understanding the business impact
  • Microsoft PowerPoint for creating and delivering presentations
  • Natural curiosity to understand the “why” behind business performance, demonstrate a strong desire to learn, adapt and thrive in fortune 50 business

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Business, Economics, Behavioral economics, or Data Science.
  • Prior experience in finance, pricing, revenue management, and/or forecasting.
  • Understanding of revenue management concepts (e.g., dilution, displacement).
  • Experience using statistical modeling, optimization, or data science techniques to drive business decisions and to advise new methodologies to steer strategy – hands-on experience with one or more modeling tools (R, Python, etc.)

The hiring range for this position in Anaheim, CA is $94,200 to $115,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
