Coordinator, Platform Distribution Operations

The Walt Disney Company’s Platform Distribution Operations department provides operational and technical expertise, monetization support, product strategy, product implementation, direction and strategic guidance and project management for all of Platform Distribution including theatrical, linear networks, content sales, AVOD/SVOD, transactional, airlines, audio, FAST, syndication, and direct-to-consumer products.

Platform Distribution Operations collaborates with influences, and directs prioritization of work with Technology, Disney+, Hulu, ESPN, Studio Operations, Broadcast Operations, Legal, Accounting, Finance, Research and Marketing, along with external distribution partners, sports league partners, software and hardware vendors, content delivery service providers, and consultants. The Systems & Process Management team plays a critical role in developing and maintaining technology and workflow solutions to support teams such as Sales, Product Management, Marketing, and Operations in the distribution of studio films and TV series.

Reporting to the Manager, Platform Distribution Operations, the Coordinator, Platform Distribution Operations will be responsible for administration of Platform Distribution projects, processes, systems, data, meetings, and communication. The Coordinator will enable the Systems & Process Management team to grow and scale with the business as the scope of responsibilities continues to increase to support Platform Distribution.

This role will provide further coverage for the Platform Distribution Operations team to drive key priorities including process improvement and systems management for content distribution across various lines of business. The Coordinator will collaborate with Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology and other teams within TWDC to support relationship management, new product deployment, platform launches, system requests, and customer requests.

Responsibilities:

  • Administration of Sales, Marketing, and Operations systems and processes including but not limited to data management, stakeholder communication, asset research, invoice management, and user onboarding

  • Consistently delivering against daily, ongoing, and ad hoc projects and activities in support of lines of business including transactional, platform sales, content sales, and affiliates

  • Organize and lead meetings, identify action items, and follow up on deliverables

  • Assist in the development of presentations, training materials, and report

  • Provide cross-departmental support on projects and administrative duties as needed

  • Employ project management skills to track tasks and deliverables

  • Become a subject matter expert of systems and processes across Platform Distribution

  • Collaborate and build relationships with internal counterparts across TWDC in Sales, Operations, Marketing, Legal, Accounting, etc. and external distributors, vendors, and technology developers

  • Contribute to an inclusive team environment and champion the pillars of The Walt Disney Company

Required experience:

  • At least 1 year of experience in Operations, Project Management, Business Management, Technology Implementation, Business Analysis, or related fields

  • BA/BS in Business Administration, Operations, Project Management, Product Management, or related field and/or equivalent combination of experience

  • Strong analytical and technical skills to navigate complex operational workflows

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely and accurate completion

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, relationship-building, and listening skills

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and matrixed organization environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with project management software. Experience with Copilot or similar AI tools is a plus.

  • Operate with a high degree of professional integrity and transparency

  • Passion for The Walt Disney Company and entertainment industry, and general familiarity with Disney brands, business segments, and content

  • Some travel and non-traditional work hours may be required depending on business needs

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA and Bristol, CT is $58,500 - $71,300 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
