This role is a great opportunity to grow both full-stack and DevOps skills while contributing to the tools and platforms that support Disney's advertising applications.

Responsibilities:

• Frontend Development: Build and maintain responsive, accessible user interfaces using React, contributing reusable components and improving front-end performance.

• Backend Services: Design, develop, and maintain APIs and microservices using Node.js, TypeScript, and Go, following established patterns and best practices.

• Data & Scripting: Write Python scripts and services for automation, data processing, and internal tooling in support of the broader engineering team.

• Code Quality & Testing: Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; participate in code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality and maintainability.

• Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with product managers, designers, and senior engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions across the stack.

• Documentation: Maintain technical documentation, including API specs, architecture notes, and onboarding guides.

• DevOps & Deployment: Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows, and contribute to infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform) and containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS) under guidance from senior engineers.

Basic Qualifications:

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience building full-stack web applications.

• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, with hands-on experience building services with Node.js.

• Working experience with React for building modern user interfaces.

• Exposure to GoLang for building performant backend services.

• Experience writing Python for scripting, automation, or backend development. • Familiarity with RESTful API design, version control (Git), and CI/CD workflows.

• Basic exposure to cloud infrastructure (AWS) and containerization (Docker), with willingness to grow into deployment and infrastructure ownership.

• Strong desire to learn, ask questions, and grow as a full-stack engineer.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and containerized environments such as Kubernetes/EKS.

• Exposure to GraphQL, gRPC, or event-driven architectures. • Awareness of security fundamentals such as authentication, authorization, and secure coding practices.

• Experience with observability tooling (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus) for monitoring full-stack applications.

• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipeline tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Spinnaker).

• Exposure to on-call rotations or incident response for production systems.

Required Education:
