Attractions CM Kilimanjaro Safaris - Part Time, Walt Disney World
Job Summary:
Encounter exotic animals and exciting adventures at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, one of the largest animal theme parks in the world! You will independently operate an open-air safari vehicle and guide our guests on a tour into the African outback—where over 34 different species of exotic African wildlife seemingly roam free. As your bumpy transport makes its way through rugged terrain, glimpse an array of exotic animals in a variety of unique habitats, as you provide your Guests with valuable information during the journey.

Responsibilities:
- Attractions Kilimanjaro Safaris Cast Members are responsible for greeting Guests, loading and unloading attractions, driving an open-air safari vehicle through animal areas, delivering narrations of varying lengths and providing audience control, while always ensuring the safety of our Guests, Cast Members, and animals
- We take ownership during emergency situations
- We manage the safety of our Guests and animals in partnership with the Animal Care team
- Prolonged standing and walking to various areas of the attraction, including climbing stairs and uneven pavement in all weather conditions
- Proactively engage Guests in conversations regarding animal natural history, behavior, and conservation in a zoological setting
- We provide safety and educational information on a microphone or by projecting our voices to large groups of guests in a loud environment
- We engage with Guest by addressing their needs, answering questions, giving directions and other information about the theme park or surrounding areas
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this role
- Must have a valid US Driver License
- Willing to work at various heights
- Must be able to learn and retain extensive animal/conservation facts and scientific knowledge
- Physical role requiring heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and kneeling
- We use observational skills to proactively identify Guest needs and ensure safety guidelines are being followed
- Part-time requires full availability for any shift, a MINIMUM of three (3) days per week, including nights and holidays
- Additional Personal Protective Equipment (face shields, goggles, refillable hand sanitizers, etc.) may be required
- Cast members can be required to handle cleaning chemicals and supplies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual preferred
- Previous experience in a zoo, or educational setting
- Ability to demonstrate a passion for wildlife in wild places

SCHEDULE AVAILABILTY
Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 5:00am while some may end as late as 3:00am, 4:00am or 5:00am. Please note that the principles of seniority are used to schedule all roles.
