We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our ESG Reporting team here at Disney!

The Senior Accountant – ESG Reporting will support the ESG Reporting Manager and Senior Manager in delivering accurate, consistent, and compliant Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) data for both internal and external reporting purposes.

This role contributes to the development, coordination, and execution of ESG reporting processes aligned with global sustainability frameworks and evolving regulatory requirements. Working closely with Finance, Sustainability, and other cross-functional teams, the role ensures high-quality ESG disclosures that reflect the company’s strategic commitments and enhance transparency with stakeholders.

Please note: This is an office-based role. 4 days working in the Hammersmith, London office with 1 day working from home (Monday or Friday).

What You Will Do

ESG Reporting Support

  • Assist the ESG Reporting Manager and Senior Manager in preparing ESG-related disclosures for annual and interim reporting cycles.

  • Consolidate and validate ESG data from across the organization to ensure accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness.

  • Maintain a strong understanding of applicable ESG frameworks (e.g., GRI, ISSB, TCFD, CSRD) and support compliance initiatives accordingly.

Data Management and Assurance

  • Collect, validate, and reconcile ESG metrics (e.g., greenhouse gas emissions, DE&I data, energy consumption) across business units

  • Ensure proper documentation and audit trail for all ESG data inputs and calculations.

  • Collaborate with internal data owners to improve the accuracy and efficiency of ESG data flows.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Liaise with Finance, Legal, Sustainability, Operations, and Risk teams to gather ESG data and insights.

  • Support the ESG Reporting Manager and Senior Manager in preparing reports and presentations for senior leadership and regulatory bodies.

  • Facilitate responses to ESG-related data requests from auditors, investors, or rating agencies.

Regulatory Monitoring and Compliance

  • Stay informed of changes in global ESG reporting standards and contribute to internal readiness assessments.

  • Help interpret new regulatory requirements and assess their implications on current reporting processes.

  • Assist in implementing controls to ensure compliance with ESG reporting obligations (e.g., EU CSRD, UK SECR, US SEC proposals).

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to streamline ESG reporting processes and improve data quality.

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of ESG data systems, templates, and tools.

  • Participate in ESG-related projects, audits, and system implementations as needed.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Experience and Professional Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional accounting experience, with an ACA / ACCA or CPA qualification.

  • Experience supporting ESG or non-financial reporting is preferable.

  • Familiarity with ESG frameworks such as GRI, SASB, ISSB, CDP, and TCFD would be advantageous.

  • Experience working in large or multinational organizations and with cross-functional teams.

  • Exposure to audit processes involving ESG data or sustainability assurance is a plus.

  • Strong data analysis and reconciliation skills with high attention to detail.

  • Good understanding of ESG and financial reporting intersections.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ESG/data management platforms (e.g. SAP, Power BI).

  • Effective communicator with the ability to explain technical topics to non-specialist audiences.

  • Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.

  • Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Maintains composure under pressure.
