About the Role & Team

The Production Manager will support the Director, Local Production in the daily execution of original productions across the Benelux region. This role is central to ensuring that creative ambition is matched with operational excellence, overseeing the production lifecycle from development through delivery. The Production Manager will act as a key advisor and liaison between internal stakeholders and third-party production partners, ensuring TWDC’s creative, financial, and compliance standards are upheld. 

This position is within Disney+ and the Direct to Consumer business of The Walt Disney Company (Benelux) B.V. 

This role will require you to be onsite 4 days a week in our  office, with one day working from home.

What You Will Do

  • Manage the day-to-day execution of local original productions, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery 

  • Review and assess third-party production budgets, schedules, and risk plans 

  • Support the Director, Local Production in preparing greenlight documentation and production strategy 

  • Monitor production health and safety, including standards for working with minors and talent 

  • Liaise with internal departments (Legal, Finance, Marketing, Content Ops) to ensure alignment across all stages of production 

  • Attend key production milestones (e.g., casting, location recces, principal photography) and provide regular updates 

  • Track and report on production costs, tax incentive compliance, and delivery timelines 

  • Coordinate project documentation, including cost monitors, status reports, and production logs 

  • Ensure third-party producers adhere to TWDC’s Live Action Producer’s Handbook and Business Standards & Practices. 

  • Coordinate regular communication with production companies, and vendors who are creating Disney+ content. 

  • Maintain daily communication with Disney+ stakeholders, such as PR & Marketing teams regarding the status of projects and sharing of content and updates 

  • Working with the Postproduction Manager in maintaining internal and external handbooks and workflows 

  • Working to assist local markets with questions, and communicate new and updated templates, workflows and handbooks. 

  • Booking Disney Staff travel and producing travel call sheets/travel packs. 

 

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Extensive experience working experience within the scripted/non-scripted production space, having had experience during preparation and shoot. 

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of Production Management and production processes; budgeting, scheduling, and compliance frameworks. 

  • Experience working with third-party production companies and managing vendor relationships 

  • Knowledge and hands on experience using production tools such as such as PIX’s, Scenechronize and Smartsheet. 

  • Solid understanding of industry terms, systems, protocols. 

  • Experienced in role for filming on location and studios. 

  • Capable in Keynote (for Mac) and Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word and PowerPoint). 

  • Comprehending the significance of reading schedules, daily production reports, call sheets. 

  • Arranging location travel requirements for executive leads. 

  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in English and Dutch 

  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment 

  • Familiarity with the Benelux production landscape and local filming regulations 

  • Highly organized and possess the ability to multi-task and work across multiple productions at one time 

  • Strong ability to report precisely, both internally with fellow colleagues and externally with production partners (often from different countries for whom English might not be their first language) 

  • Strong problem-solving skills during high pressured situations 

  • Exceptionally strong time management skills 

  • Excellent communication both in written and verbal, possessing good interpersonal skills to share information with heads of departments and external producers 

 

Additional Information 

  • This role requires occasional travel within the Benelux region 

  • You will be expected to uphold TWDC’s values of inclusion, creativity, and integrity 

  • The role involves managing confidential information and sensitive production data 

  • You will work closely with the Director, Local Production and other stakeholders to ensure the success of Disney+ originals in the region
