This is an office-based role. 4 days working in the Hammersmith, London office with 1 day working from home (Monday or Friday).

 

We are looking for a publicist to join our team who is obsessed with TV and will help devise and implement brilliantly creative communications campaigns for our incredible portfolio of shows – including the award-winning Shogun, our UK commission of Jilly Cooper’s Rivals, the return of Percy Jackson and fan favourites including Only Murders in the Building and FX’s The Bear.  

 

The role will support comms across the UK and EMEA and may also periodically support the National Geographic brand and its award-winning shows and documentaries – recent titles including Limitless with Chris Hemsworth and Tucci in Italy 

 

Working closely with the PR Manager, your role will also be responsible for creating innovative and best in class publicity campaigns across Europe to ensure we are reaching our audiences in attention grabbing and impactful ways, while maintaining our corporate reputation within the industry.

The Opportunity & Responsibilities 

  • You will own publicity campaigns for a range of shows and movies on Disney+ / National Geographic, including creative concepting, execution, evaluation and reporting. It’s a broad range of work and upcoming titles might include All’s Fair and Rivals season 2 

  • You will be working with a cross-section of the business, collaborating with our colleagues in marketing / partnerships, as well as other parts of the business including Studios and Media Networks  

  • Your responsibility will be split between UK and regional to ultimately deliver fantastic press coverage while utilizing our owned social channels and working in lock step with our social and influencer team 

  • You will speak to a wide range of media, but namely TV and entertainment press and maintain strong relationships within the team 

 

The Experience We Require From You 

  • You excel at comms, with a clear understanding of what’s needed to secure brilliant outcomes with traditional print media as well as online media and broadcast media. You will also have a strong understanding of the social and influencer space and be adept at incorporating social / influencer specific activity into your wider campaigns with support of the social team  

  • You are confident owning campaigns end to end, in a way that’s action and solutions-orientated 

  • You are highly self-motivated with the ability to manage campaigns to tight deadlines and a desire to deliver only the very best work  

  • You are passionate about great TV and knowledgeable about the TV industry – across genres, and can channel this into your work being consistently curious and looking for ways to innovate 

  • You have demonstrable experience running junkets / managing talent and are confident working with international colleagues across time zones 

  • You have considerable experience in running events (premieres / screenings / themed activations) and are confident running all elements and working with other key business partners to collaborate and update on plans  

  • You must be a self-starter but a true team player with a genuine enthusiasm for communications and public relations as well as team development 

  • You have experience handling stakeholders and have experience of crisis communications. You will be comfortable operating in the centre of a crisis – big or small - and have been involved in reactive planning or crisis handling 

  • You are passionate about great TV – across genres, and can channel this into your work by being consistently curious and looking for ways to innovate 

  • While not essential, a background in the TV or streaming industry would be helpful
