Job Summary:

At Disney Experiences Technology, our team creates world-class immersive digital experiences for the Company’s premier vacation brands including Disney’s Parks & Resorts worldwide, Disney Cruise Line, Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa, and Disney Vacation Club.  

We are responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation and Merchandise lines of business as well as other initiatives including MyDisneyExperience and Hey, Disney! 

This role sits in the Digital Delivery and AI organization within Disney Experiences Technology.   

The Systems Engineer will report to the Manager, Technology in the Guest Content Experience team.The Systems Engineer works closely with product owners, platform architects, and engineering teams to manage configurations, optimize workflows, resolve incidents, and maintain service health across multiple interconnected systems.

About the Role

The Systems Engineer will support, configure, and enhance enterprise applications in the GCX digital experience portfolio, including RWS Tridion Content Management System (D-Scribe), Customer Data Platform/AEP (Shuri), and Ant-Man Services APIs. This role focuses on ensuring platform stability, integrating services, and delivering technical solutions that improve content delivery, personalization, and data services for guest-facing and internal applications.

The Systems Engineer works closely with product owners, platform architects, and engineering teams to manage configurations, optimize workflows, resolve incidents, and maintain service health across multiple interconnected systems.

This is a Project Hire role, ending in September 2027.

What You’ll Do

1. Platform Support & Configuration

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for system configurations in content management, personalization, and API-based service integrations.

  • Configure, test, and maintain data structures, workflows, and tagging schemas in Shuri, D-Scribe, and Ant-Man.

  • Perform routine audits and updates to ensure platform performance, compliance, and data accuracy.

2. Integration & Quality Control

  • Support and validate integrations between content, personalization, and service APIs.

  • Conduct configuration reviews to identify risks, resolve inconsistencies, and ensure adherence to standards before release.

  • Document configuration changes, integration mappings, and operational procedures.

3. Monitoring & Incident Management

  • Proactively monitor platform health, performance, and telemetry using tools such as Splunk, Grafana, and AppDynamics.

  • Triage and resolve incidents related to content workflows, personalization rules, and service API calls.

  • Collaborate with vendor support teams to resolve tickets and ensure adherence to SLAs.

4. Business Partner & Stakeholder Support

  • Provide technical guidance to product and business teams on platform capabilities and best practices.

  • Assist with application access management, feature demonstrations, and training.

  • Maintain platform documentation, configuration guides, and troubleshooting resources.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years supporting enterprise platforms in content management, personalization, or service API domains.

  • Proficiency in SQL querying, HTML/CSS, and API testing tools such as Postman.

  • Experience with RWS Tridion CMS (D-Scribe), Adobe Experience Platform (Shuri), and API-driven service platforms.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments (AWS, Azure).

  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, Grafana, and AppDynamics.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in a systems engineering or application support role.

  • Experience in cross-platform integration and service configuration for high-volume enterprise applications.

  • Knowledge of data governance, tagging frameworks, and personalization strategy.

  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience
