The Integrated Marketing team at Disney Southeast Asia is responsible for the creative advertising, research, media, publicity, and promotion of movies and shows released in cinemas and on our streaming service, Disney+ / Disney+ Hotstar, in the region.

Our portfolio of brands includes Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, 20th Century, National Geographic, and more, providing unprecedented access to the company’s incredible slate of feature-length films, documentaries, live-action and animated series, renowned classics and short-form content.

Integrated Marketing’s Digital team leads organic and paid activity across owned, earned and paid social and digital channels with thumb-stopping social content, high-impact digital advertising, insights-driven strategy planning, robust data & marketing technology integrations, as well as openness to innovation. Our mission is to drive brand and title awareness, social buzz, and achieve business goals for movie ticket sales and Disney+ subscriber retention.

We are looking for a Digital & Social Media Marketing Intern. The candidate will gain exposure and understanding of the planning and execution of social media and digital campaigns for our movies and shows in cinemas and on Disney+, including social calendar planning and publishing, agency briefing, media strategy and planning, as well as campaign reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the team to develop social media plans/calendars for our movies and shows
  • Coordinate social content and asset rollouts, reviews and approvals
  • Support in campaign briefing, communications and alignments to agencies
  • Participate in ideation and scripting for publicity content featuring our talents as applicable.
  • Support in paid media strategy and planning, regularly checking campaign performance to identify opportunities for paid amplification and recommending optimisations.
  • Learn performance data analysis using campaign dashboards and reports to derive actionable insights
  • Participate in organising social contests and coordinate with influencers as needed.
  • Contribute to social coverage of marketing events where required
  • Coordinate with Disney’s other teams and Partners for cross-business campaign support.
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends and behaviours on social and digital channels, sharing inspiration with the team.
  • Participate in any other ad-hoc projects as assigned.
     

Internship Requirements:

  • Currently an undergraduate pursuing a bachelor's degree
  • Still an undergraduate and not yet graduated during the internship period
  • Must be available for a full-time internship commitment (Monday to Friday, 9 am-6 pm) between January to June 2026

Requirements:

  • Currently an undergraduate pursuing a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Business or a related field.
  • A social- and digital-native, passionate about social media platforms, content creation and digital marketing.
  • Interest or fan mentality for movies and pop culture in general. Disney, Pixar, Star Wars and Marvel is a plus.
  • Experience in digital advertising, influencer marketing, marketing dashboards and/or data analysis is a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office, Google Docs tools, and Keynote. Adobe Photoshop is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of social media management tools such as Meltwater or Sprinklr is a plus
  • Highly self-motivated and meticulous
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a constantly evolving organisation, and to thrive in a fast-paced working environment
  • Strong team player; possesses good interpersonal skills with a high level of enthusiasm for collaborating in cross-functional teams
  • Adopts a challenging and questioning approach, proposing information and solutions in creative ways
  • Passionate team player with a never-ending curiosity
  • Self-starter who needs minimal supervision in motivating himself/herself, always looking for opportunities to contribute to our projects.
  • Ability to prioritise workload to meet competing deadlines and manage stakeholder expectations
  • Strategic thinker with good communication skills
  • Creative mindset with the ability to leverage data to develop strategy/decisions
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
