Job Summary:

The company's International Labor Standards (ILS) Program is an important component of The Walt Disney Company's Corporate Social Responsibility and Responsible Supply Chain efforts. 

Disney’s ILS Program evaluates and helps improve working conditions in facilities producing Disney-branded products. We work with our licensees and vendors to educate them about labor rights expectations and require social compliance audits to assess labor conditions with the aim to foster safe, inclusive and respectful workplaces wherever Disney-branded items are produced. 

The ILS Analyst will be the primary ILS contact for implementing the ILS Program requirements across internal business units and licensees/vendors in the region, to ensure alignment of business practices and operations with Disney ILS Program requirements. 
 
On a daily basis, this role will support implementation of the ILS Program by acting as the main liaison for business units and licensees/vendors on all ILS Program related queries. This role will be responsible for engaging, guiding, and training business units, licensees and vendors on Disney’s ILS Program requirements, while managing data and information processing. This includes maintaining accurate records of licensees/vendors, facilities, and audits in the ILS database, as well as overseeing the timely request and submission of required ILS documentation from business units, and licensees/vendors.  

This role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, training and facilitation skills, and the ability to drive collaborative solutions with internal business units and external licensees/vendors to improve facilities’ compliance performance with Disney’s ILS Program requirements. This is a regional role and the candidate should be comfortable working with and supporting global teams.

Areas of responsibilities
ILS Program Liaison & Engagement

  • Act as the primary contact for business units and licensees/vendors on ILS matters.
  • Engage, communicate, and educate business units and licensees/vendors on ILS Program requirements and processes 
  • Deliver ILS trainings to business unit contacts and licensees/vendors 

ILS Program Process & Issue Management 

  • Ensure timely execution of ILS regional management work processes (such as approving facility updates, processing audit submissions, following up on instances of non-compliance, etc) 
  • Maintain accurate licensee/vendor and facility information in the ILS database   
  • Manage communication with internal and external stakeholders on special cases   

Collaboration 

  • Collaborate and liaise with other internal stakeholders as needed, including Legal, Anti-Piracy, Contract Admin, Corporate Communications, Trade Compliance, and etc
  • Collaborate with global regional management counterparts to ensure consistency in ILS Program policies and processes 
  • Support broader ILS team projects as needed, e.g., ad hoc presentations, translations, and reporting 

Professional Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above in social compliance, business, sustainability, communications, or related field 
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a corporate setting, in social compliance, social auditing, responsible sourcing, corporate responsibility, or related field 
  • Experience in an ethical sourcing, risk, compliance, environmental, quality or equivalent role 
  • Experience in an international team and comfortable working in a regional and global team
  • Knowledge of social compliance standards preferred, such as SA8000, SMETA, BSCI or equivalent
  • Prior Program or Process Management experience preferred 

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Presentation/training skills
  • Fluency in another Southeast Asian language valuable 
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills – ability to build rapport and comfortably interact with individuals at all levels 
  • Good organizational/prioritization skills and ability to work to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented, strong analytical and problem solving capabilities 
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a part of a team 
  • Proficiency in databases and Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, PowerBI)
