This position will report into a Senior Vice President, Finance of Ad Sales, who will be the primary person that they will support.  In addition, they will also provide some support to three Vice Presidents within the Ad Sales Finance team.

You would be responsible for the day-to-day workings of the leaders that you support.  Our team leads core business and financial planning functions in support of our content and distribution teams across Disney Entertainment and ESPN. It goes without saying that there will be expense reports, travel planning, hundreds of phone messages and endless calendar jockeying, but this job is very much about people. The relationship you form with the executives you support is critical, because that’s what enables you to become a true partner. In addition to understanding your executive’s business -- and business needs -- inside and out, you’ll also need to master a deep knowledge of the leadership and workings of both Disney Entertainment Ad Sales and necessary related departments across the Disney enterprise.   As the “face” of your executive(s) within The Walt Disney Company, your professionalism, loyalty and attitude are a reflection of the office, and as such, are a key component to its success. Every day as an Executive Support Professional is different!

On any given day you might:

  • Financial reporting in a FP&A environment
  • Prepare regular reports and summaries – You’ll have tasks that you “own” completely and will provide regular assistance on others.
  • Interface directly with other senior executives and their support teams – Your ability to work well with people on all levels is a very important part of your job.
  • Draft letters and emails on behalf of your leaders.
  • Plan events like off-sites and team-building activities.
  • Manage large purchase orders and vendor contracts.
  • Assist with onboarding new employees – You’ll be the “friendly face” that newbies count on to answer all their questions, including some who are extremely senior in the organization.
  • Read relevant newspapers and trade journals so you are completely immersed in the mission of the office and can inform your executive when you see something they should know.
  • Create a travel itinerary – Taking into account time zones, weather delays, traffic, and fatigue levels.

Here’s what you will need to be successful in this role:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a business support role working directly with business leaders.
  • Desire to immerse yourself fully and learn all aspects of your executive’s business
  • Strong proficiency with all types of computers, phones and office equipment, as well as mastery of Microsoft Office programs, SAP, Confluence, Concur, and working in a Windows environment
  • Complete reliability handling confidential, often highly sensitive information
  • Some flexibility in your schedule – we value work/life balance, but in a pinch, a bit more time may likely be needed
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with extreme attention to detail.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Knowledge of finance, advertising and media industry
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Self-motivation and drive to achieve targets

It would be great if you also had these skills:

  • Experience working at The Walt Disney Company or in a large public corporation with prior experience in Finance as an intern or in a professional position.

  • Bachelor’s degree ‘s in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics or a related degree program

The hiring range for this position in New York City, NY and Bristol, CT is $82,000.00 to $109,800.00 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
