Job Summary:

The Disney Decision Science + Integration (DDSI) is a consulting team that supports clients across The Walt Disney Company, including Disney Experiences (Parks & Resorts worldwide, Cruise Line, Consumer Products, etc.), Disney Entertainment (ABC, The Walt Disney Studios, Disney Theatrical, Disney Streaming Services, etc.), ESPN, and Corporate Finance. Key partners to the DDSI organization include Marketing, Finance, Business Development, Research, and Operations. We develop, analyze, and execute strategies and improve the value proposition for our Guests, Cast Members, and Shareholders. The team leverages technology, data analytics, optimization, statistical and econometric modeling to explore opportunities, shape business decisions, and drive business value. 

You are data-driven and business-minded, and passionate about solving business questions through data analysis. In this position, you will be working directly with business segments within the Disney Ad Sales and Technology organizations. You will lead integration of existing solutions or development of new solutions by scoping, implementing, and testing that solutions address client business problems. You should enjoy connecting with clients to brainstorm ways to better support business decisions, being a thought leader in analytical settings, building data visualization dashboards, managing and improving software systems, and researching innovative solutions in generative AI technology for opportunities to improve upon existing technical capabilities.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead brainstorming on current problems and solution capabilities, conceptualizing new features, translating business requirements into technical solution designs, use case testing, and user training

  • Contribute to overall portfolio prioritization and scoping development/sustainment workloads and resourcing needs

  • Proactively develop metrics to track value and other success criteria, and identify opportunities for process automation and technological innovation

  • Indirectly lead and influence a cross-functional technical development team through product life cycles, owning project timelines and deliverables

  • Represent DDSI as a subject matter expert for your product and business vertical internally to all levels including Sr. Leadership

  • Drive results in the face of uncertainty and challenges to ensure delivery and usage of analytically driven solutions

  • Exhibit critical strategic thinking and creative problem solving in order to scope work, shape deliverables, set priorities, meet deadlines, and communicate results that can be understood and acted upon

  • Have a vision for analytical opportunities, be accountable for integrating these concepts into real-world business processes, and drive the roadmap for ongoing operational updates and sustainment.

  • Lead operational integration of analytic processes and support on-going usage and interpretation of advanced science within developed analytical applications.


Required Qualifications & Skills :

  • 7 years of experience in a technical product role or similar role

  • 1-3 years of experience leading analytical teams (directly or indirectly)

  • Experience coding in Python / SQL (or similar programming languages)

  • Experience with revenue management strategies

  • Experience leading development of web-based applications

  • Ability to think and act independently on a daily basis, while maintaining a cross-functional and holistic perspective for implementation decisions

  • Strong at concisely communicating complex topics to varied audiences, in order to act as a science consultant to any business unit within TWDC

  • Ability to craft client presentations and lead presentations to executive leadership

  • History of supporting operational teams, and working in a fast-paced environment

  • Proven success in consulting and application development product management

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Expertise in the linear media field, such as familiarity with Nielsen and/or other video measurement solutions

  • Experience leading projects requiring full stack development

  • Strong understanding of advanced analytical methods

  • Experience developing short- and long-term product roadmaps for implementation and sustainment

  • Experience developing and implementing generative AI models into custom product solutions

Education:

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Data Mining, Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, or other quantitative field, or equivalent experience.

  • Master's Degree or equivalent experience
