Job Summary:

Disney’s Direct to Consumer (DTC) team oversees the Hulu and Disney+ streaming businesses within the Disney Entertainment division, helping to bring The Walt Disney Company’s best-in-class storytelling to fans and families everywhere.

Disney’s Technical Account Management (TAM) team within the Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) organization is composed of industry thought leaders and innovators collaborating with partners across Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu. We serve as strategic allies, fostering strong, collaborative relationships that support Disney’s streaming product and technology initiatives worldwide. Our partnerships span leading mobile platforms, connected devices, consumer electronics, telecom operators (wireless, pay-tv, MVPDs), and a broad range of distribution channels, driving the success of Disney’s streaming services on a global scale.

What You Will Do

Reporting to the Director, Technical Account Management, we are seeking a Sr. Technical Account Manager (TAM) to join our team. The Sr. TAM oversees all technical aspects of Disney’s partnerships with distributors, collaborating closely with business development teams to onboard partners, promote product offerings, and develop platform features aligned with strategic distribution goals.

This role serves as a nexus between business, product, and technology, responsible for managing and cultivating technical relationships with Disney’s internal teams and external partners. The Sr. TAM serves as the primary liaison and main point of contact for distribution partners, leading integration efforts, conducting technical due diligence on new platforms, and shaping future roadmaps.

Given its broad regional and global scope, this role demands exceptional collaboration across multiple time zones with both partners and internal teams. The ideal candidate will be adept at working effectively with geographically dispersed groups and be open to occasional domestic and international travel. The primary focus will be on supporting regional TV (MVPD) and operator partners, including telco, broadband, and mobile service providers, ensuring strong partnerships and successful outcomes.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep passion for digital media and video streaming solutions, extensive experience leading complex cross-functional technology integrations, and familiarity with application development across diverse platforms. Equally important is a proven track record of building strong, positive relationships with external third parties and internal stakeholders—including product, technology, business, and executive leadership at Disney.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the TAM Director in managing daily relationships with third-party partners, ensuring the successful delivery of integrations and platform deployments.

  • Cultivate strong, positive relationships with global distribution partners to identify new capabilities, features, and requirements, providing actionable recommendations to internal business, product, and technology teams.

  • Effectively advocate for Disney’s DTC product and technology interests, educating partners and influencing their strategies.

  • Lead the identification of technical requirements and oversee integrations with key third-party distribution partners to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.

  • Collaborate with internal product and technology teams to identify challenges, blockers, and issues requiring resolution with third-party partners.

  • Work closely with legal, sales, and business development teams to facilitate distribution deals that advance Disney’s product, technology, and strategic goals.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical account management or product management role.

  • Extensive experience leading complex end-to-end technology integrations for digital media and streaming video solutions, including live and VOD platforms.

  • In-depth knowledge of live and VOD streaming technology for OTT and Direct-to-Consumer services.

  • Strong understanding of streaming media consumer electronics (CE) devices and platforms such as web, mobile, connected devices, living room devices, and set-top boxes.

  • Proven track record working with third-party CE partners, middleware providers, SoC manufacturers, OEMs, and platform distribution partners.

  • Experience with video streaming technologies, including playback, encoding, packaging, DRM, CDN, and related systems.

  • Exceptional customer relationship and account management skills, with the ability to influence and advocate for Disney’s product and technology initiatives, while uncovering and evaluating implementation requirements for internal teams.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, capable of distilling complex technical concepts into clear business impacts and vice versa.

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to investigate challenging issues, develop solutions, and deliver strategic recommendations to product, technology, business, and executive stakeholders.

  • Skilled in identifying core business objectives and technical needs to drive successful launches and ongoing support for each distribution partner.

  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally if required.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience working with or alongside regional or local MVPDs, Pay TV/IPTV providers, or telecom companies is highly preferred.

  • Familiarity with Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs, etc.) is a plus.

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent years of technical experience in product management, media, video streaming, or a related field.
