Job Summary

A hands on experienced Creative leader, you will manage and develop a team of direct reports underneath you whilst also leading multiple Creative teams on various Disney+ campaigns, whether these are Disney+ UK originals or repurposing of assets from the US. The role requires Creative leadership of the highest order, creating 360 original ideas and stepping away from traditional media, this is a digital first, social first mindset and it requires originality in thought and absolute excellence in delivery.

Working closely with the Disney+ Creative Director, you’ll inspire those around you with original Creative thought and constant inspiration. You’ll lead from the front across a varied portfolio where positivity, the energy to go again and a cool head is needed – winning together as a Creative and Marketing team whilst also taking stakeholders on the Creative journey.

Away from day-to-day Creative, you will work with the Disney+ Creative Director to build the reputation of the team and the reputation of the work, not only establishing Disney+ Creative as one of the key Creative teams to be part of one but Disney+ as a great place to work – the key to this being a positive influence on all aspects of Culture within the team.

This is an office-based role. 4 days working in the Hammersmith, London office with 1 day working from home.

The Opportunity & Responsibilities:

  • Drive the highest quality Creative output across all Disney+  Campaigns, judged by effectiveness, stakeholder feedback, and awards - focus on developing Creative right through the line
  • Working closely with the Disney+ marketing partners to deliver the most effective Campaigns across all media channels  - all social / digital / first looks – right through the line
  • Be hands on Creative, represent / Present Creative routes to various senior stakeholders - external prod companies - talent - internal programming teams - wider industry
  • Build a strong and effective team, attracting new talent, retaining current talent, and developing the apprentice / grad scheme, attracting the next generation of talent for Disney
  • Dedicated to pushing AV / Trailer creativity / quality across a large team of various levels
  • Play an important role in the overall leadership of Disney+ Creative
  • Provide creative leadership and inspiration – inspiring confidence of those around you
  • Represent the team to Marketing, commissioning and the wider industry
  • Build a positive environment for the development of the highest quality creative output
  • Be responsible for the attraction, recruitment and retention of top talent
  • Be culturally sensitive to varied audiences and territories and aware of Ofcom regulations.
  • Is flexible in the role within the team and within the company, able to step in on projects, where needed and work to ever changing timelines.
  • Engaged and enthusiastic team member, proactively sharing ideas and best practice within the Creative team, a role model for the department.

The Experience We Require From You:

  • An experienced hands-on Creative leader, multiple years’ experience not only leading Creative teams but also proven experience of developing stand out, originated Creative across multiple media formats.
  • Hands on – able to demonstrate excellence in AV craft
  • Detailed understanding of 360 ideation
  • In depth knowledge of industry wide creative tools – from cutting to AI static ideation
  • Background in leading multiple 360 projects – across Brand / Social / specialism in whatever the focus of delivery is
  • Experience in working / managing Global brands across EMEA markets
  • Detailed knowledge of multiple workflows to get to the best possible results
  • Excellent collaborator with outstanding communication skills
  • Open minded, optimistic, can-do attitude to win and get to the best possible work
  • Receive and give feedback with energy and enthusiasm, taking those around with them on the Creative journey with nothing but confidence.
  • An expert in time management – managing priorities effectively, taking constant business changes to Creative in your stride
  • A creative role model, acting with integrity, openness and the ability to see the bigger picture.
  • Pushes a Creative vision, bringing fresh ideas, trends and long-term thinking to the table.
  • Able to bring out the best in teams, individuals and encourages an environment where Creatives push the boundaries
